My Life...

Cursed Nymph (2).png

This is a page in which I will write about interesting moments within my day! Things not quite deserving of a whole blog post, but a way to strengthen my writing and mindfulness. It will also incite me to seek out more exciting things to do!

January 6, 2026

It has been so long since I have used this...

I did indeed volunteer at that food pantry for a while, and became friends with a very sweet older lady; However, the pantry was managed poorly and it was just another level of responsibility I couldn’t take on. That was especially true after I was promoted at work, I am now a shift supervisor – and have been since around September.

We got engaged in October, we adopted a stray kitten in September, I turned 23 in November. I’m eagerly counting down the days until the wedding.

One of my goals for the year was to lower my screen time – on my phone – and apply myself to other things more. So far, as of last week I used my phone an hour less than usual, and for this week my average is around an hour! Usually the days that get me are my days off because it’s more time to get trapped in a doom scroll, so I was nervous about today, but I’m currently sitting at 28 minutes at 8:11 PM. Granted, it is also past my bedtime... I need to get up for work at 4 AM, so it’s time for me to head off.

Outside of my headache, I feel good! Bryce and I made steak and fetachini alfredo, so I’m about to sleep very well.

Goodnight loves,

March x. 2025

This weekend has been such a fulfilling weekend!

Friday, my partner and I got to attend an opera! Which you can learn more about here

Saturday, we got up early enough to eat breakfast at a restaurant we both love. We than were able to hike at a local nature sanctuary! We saw many turtles and tortoises! We really want to rent out kayaks and float down the creek! Being in nature was so nice! The weather was also so great, though there was so much shade I do not know if I would have noticed if it was hot! After we spent an hour on a loop, we stopped by a local ice cream shop that has been around since 1956! I dipped mine in blue raspberry flavoring!

Sunday, we walked around a community market, and checked out the antique cars there! Then later in the day I got to participate in a new dungeons and dragons' campaign with some of my coworkers, as well as a few people I do not know. It felt really good to socialize! I was also super proud of myself as I seemed to be roleplaying quite confidently! Which is shocking as I tend to be shyer in front of new people!

I also have a volunteer event scheduled for tomorrow! I am helping at a food pantry! Which I am super excited for!

March v. 2025.

Today is payday, you know what that means...I am pulling up the trusty excel spreadsheet and entering in numbers in a way that excites me because I feel like I am leveling up in a video game.

Truly, pivoting to finally tracking my income has majorly improved my outlook on money. Am I rich? Absolutely not, however am I much more comfortable because I have my entire rent and other necessities saved, not including my 401(k) and Roth IRA? Very much so. I have my income color coded so as long as my paychecks are almost always hitting a minimum amount, they are green which is a serotonin boost. I also have an entire page dedicated to all the different types of savings I have, which can really help me visualize how prepared I really am.

I also got a call from a local thrift store that I applied for volunteering for, so Tuesday mornings I should be volunteering which will get me out of the house a bit! Though I did just realize that I volunteered myself for a time in which I have a therapy appointment, oops!

I also used my antique sewing machine for the first time yesterday! Though I will keep the reasoning a secret until Saturday!
